Atlas 5 • CST-100 Starliner Crew Flight Test

A United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket, known as AV-085, is scheduled to launch from SLC-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, at 4:43 p.m. ET (2043 UTC). This launch will send Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner spacecraft on its first crewed mission, the Crew Test Flight, to the International Space Station. The Starliner will dock with the ISS and then return to land in the Western United States. NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are set to participate in the mission. The rocket configuration includes two solid rocket boosters and a dual-engine Centaur upper stage. This mission has experienced multiple delays, initially from August and the first quarter of 2020, and subsequently from mid-2020, early 2021, June 2021, late 2021, late 2022, and various dates in 2023 and 2024. The delays have been due to the need for Boeing to refly the Orbital Flight Test and to implement fixes on the Starliner spacecraft after OFT-2.
