Launch Summary: A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket is scheduled to launch the GOES-U satellite from LC-39A at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on June 25. The exact launch time is yet to be determined. GOES-U is the fourth and final next-generation geostationary weather satellite for NASA and NOAA. Once launched, it will take a position 22,300 miles above the equator to observe weather conditions across the United States. Upon reaching its operational orbit, the satellite will be designated GOES-19. This mission has been postponed from its previous launch dates of April 30 and May.
